.STORM INFORMATION…
At 8 AM ChST…the center of Tropical Storm Man-yi (25W) was
located near latitude 14.0N…longitude 150.5E. This was about
380 miles east of Guam. Storm motion was west-southwest,
255 degrees, at 8 mph. Storm intensity was 45 mph.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW…
Tropical Storm Man-yi continues to approach the Marianas, with an
expected passage over or near Guam as it continues to intensify on
Wednesday.
.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
…Coastal inundation and surf information…
Inundation of 1 to 2 feet is possible, along windward shores.
Surf could reach hazardous levels of 10 to 14 feet along east
facing reefs, with hazardous 7 to 10 foot surf along east facing
reefs. The most hazardous surf will be for windward-facing
shores.
…Rainfall totals…
Rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches are possible tonight through
Wednesday night, with locally higher amounts possible.
