‘Real Housewives of London’ Coming in 2025 as Hayu’s First Original

The hit “Real Housewives” franchise is coming to London next year.

“The Real Housewives of London” will mark the first original series from Hayu, NBCUniversal’s all-reality SVOD service, and is set to be produced by Monkey, the company behind the iconic British reality series “Made in Chelsea.” The show is targeting a late 2025 premiere and will air exclusively on Hayu.

The announcement was delivered on Saturday night after “Real Housewives” host and executive producer Andy Cohen‘s panel at the first-ever Hayu FanFest in London. The sold-out event also featured panels with “Real Housewives” cast members Lisa Barlow, Sutton Stracke, Jessel Taank and Ashley Darby.

Casting is currently underway for “The Real Housewives of London,” with start of production eyed for Q1 2025.

“Tonight’s announcement of ‘The Real Housewives of London’ is Hayu’s first-ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service,” said Hendrik McDermott, managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks and international direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal. “It makes sense that such an iconic location in the U.K. – a core Hayu market – would feature into our strategy to further amplify our offering with original content that super-serves loyal fans. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest installment in the wildly popular ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise.”

Added Helen Kruger Bratt, managing director of Monkey: “We are delighted to bring fans ’The Real Housewives of London’ thanks to the new U.K. commission with Hayu. Hayu is the ideal destination for this well-loved reality series and will give audiences direct access to all the drama of this new set of British Housewives. This is the 30th international iteration of the iconic ’Housewives’ format, and it’s safe to say, the audience will not be disappointed!”

Previous international iterations of the “Real Housewives” franchise include Athens, Vancouver, Melbourne, Budapest, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Rome, Lagos, Munich and more. The longest-running international format has been “The Real Housewives of Cheshire,” focused on the lives of women in the English county, which has aired for 17 seasons.
