Justin Bieber Went Bowling in a Giant Pair of Plaid Pants

If there’s one thing Justin Bieber is going to do, it’s wear a pair of humongous pants on a night out with his lady. While the rest of the world is still catching up on the “baggy pants are back” wave, Justin has long been its keenest surfer; he’ll wear huge trousers whether they’re on trend or not.

Take, for example, the pants Justin wore earlier this week, when the musician and his wife, Hailey Bieber, attended fashion entrepreneur Lauren Perez’s birthday party at Lucky Strike bowling alley in Beverly Hills. (The event took place prior to the outbreak of devastating fires currently burning across Los Angeles.) For the occasion, JB dressed down in a dark cropped work jacket, loose white tee, clompy Balenciaga boots, and enormously baggy plaid wool trousers by Marni—which, by most standards, look like glorified flannel pajama pants. Charmingly, he accessorized with a pair of small-framed “office siren” eyeglasses and a rolled-up beanie.

Meanwhile, Hailey matched his casual vibe in a distressed leather jacket, loose-fit blue jeans, and black leather loafers by The Row.

It was a rare moment of sartorial synergy for the Biebers, who welcomed their first child, a son named Jack Blues Bieber, in August. But as Hailey told me in 2023, the couple rarely sweats the optics.

“[Justin] may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling,” she said. “We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this.’”
