Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions released a statement on Monday condemning rumors that his fight against Mike Tyson was rigged.
“Trash talk and speculation are common in sports, and athletes and promoters need to tolerate nonsensical commentary, jokes and opinions,” the statement said. “But suggesting anything other than full effort from these fighters is not only naive but an insult to the work they put into their craft and to the sport itself.”

Paul previously addressed claims during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast.
“People don’t realize my power, and my jab and my speed and my ability, and my footwork to get out of the way of those punches, so then all of a sudden he’s throwing at, literally, air,” Paul said (h/t CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri).
