Flood Advisory issued March 20 at 9:04AM EDT until March 20 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS Caribou ME

* WHAT…Pleasant River flooding caused by an ice jam continues.

* WHERE…A portion of North Central Maine, including the following
county, Piscataquis.

* WHEN…Until 345 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Minor low lying properties along the Pleasant River due
to elevated flows and backwater issues.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 852 AM EDT, emergency management reported an ice jam
remains locked in place below the Pleasant Street bridge in
Milo with minor flooding along the Pleasant River.
– Piscataquis County Emergency Management reports the Medford
Road, Pleasant Street and Pleasant River Road are being
reopened with some road damage. Please continue to use
caution in the area over the next few days. The ice jam
remains solid with rain coming may cause rapid changes
resulting in additional flooding.

Milo.
