‘Fatal crash’ near downtown Tallahassee; Tennessee Street closed near Leon High

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a “fatal crash” on Tennessee Street Monday morning that involved two vehicles.

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of East Tennessee Street and North Franklin Boulevard, according to a TPD social media post.

Sgt. Damon Miller, a police spokesperson, said the crash wasn’t connected to any of the road closures due to the Veteran’s Day parade downtown and morning race.

As of 10 p.m., East Tennessee Street was closed from Hillcrest Street to North Franklin Boulevard.

Other details were unavailable, police said: “This remains an open and active investigation. Updates will be provided when they become available.”
