The Los Angeles Chargers are “optimistic” that running back J.K. Dobbins can return from his knee injury in time for Saturday’s game against the New England Patriots, Sports Illustrated‘s Albert Breer reported on Friday.
Dobbins has missed four games since landing on IR with an MCL sprain suffered during a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The running back is currently listed as “questionable” on the Chargers’ Week 17 injury report after being limited practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. He rejoined the team for a full Thursday practice.
Fantasy team managers should keep an eye on whether the Chargers activate Dobbins on Friday. He recorded double-digit carry totals in 10 straight games and had eight rushing touchdowns on the season prior to his injury.
