College football national signing day: Top commits, flips, moments

College football’s national signing day kicked off Wednesday with the early signing period. Class of 2025 high school recruits who signed locked into the colleges of their choice for at least the next year.

It was an action-packed day with Oregon and LSU pulling off huge flips and USC rallying by landing one of the biggest remaining targets: five-star defensive end Jahkeem Stewart.

With 16 ESPN 300 commitments, Georgia has the No. 1 class in ESPN’s rankings while Texas and Michigan made moves. If a prospect doesn’t sign a national letter of intent by Friday, the next national signing day for this cycle begins Feb. 5, 2025.

We tracked the news, analysis and more throughout Wednesday.
