Special Weather Statement issued December 18 at 12:16PM EST by NWS Charleston WV

At 1215 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wharton to 8 miles southeast of Argo.
Movement was east at 60 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Beckley, Welch, Pineville, Mullens, Mount Hope, Mabscott, Oceana,
Sophia, Gary, Man, Northfork, Gilbert Creek, Piney View, Coal City,
Prosperity, Mallory, Hanover, Crab Orchard, Dry Creek, and Macarthur.

This includes the following highways…
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 34 and 57.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 120 and 126.
Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 10.
